Betty Fisher McSwain, 78 of 916 Tot Dellinger Road, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at Hospice at Wendover. Betty was born October 18 1932 in Lincoln County, the daughter of the late Jasper Reid Fisher and Laura Mae Harkey Fisher Loving. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. McSwain who died August 1st, 2011 and a great grandson Blair Jackson Mull.
Survivors include a daughters and son-in-law, Kathy M. Moss and husband R.J. of Cherryville, Rebecca "Becky" McSwain of Gastonia, grand-daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie Dellinger and husband George of Iron Station and Julia Moss of Cherryville, great grandchildren Houston and Georgia Rae Dellinger, and Ryan Alan Mull, brothers, Bill Fisher of Edge Water Fla, Claude Loving, Jr., Vale, sister-in-law Maxine McSwain.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Travis Mull and Rev. Jerry Lail officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Carpenter's Funeral Home.
