Kenneth "Ken" Ray Stewart, 70 yrs. Passed away on Saturday, October 01, 2011, at the Kindred Hospital, Ontario, CA.

Ken was born on December 08, 1940, in Steubenville, Jefferson County, Ohio, to the late Paul Leslie and Lillian Naomi Riggs-Stewart. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Marie Stewart-Collins. Survivors include his wife of nearly fifty years, Martha Nell Collins-Stewart, Upland, CA.; and a loving son, Keith R. Stewart and grandson, Alexander "Alex" L. Stewart, both of Chester, New York; a sister , Susan "Sue" (John) Skinner, Tulare, CA.; a brother, James "Jim" L. Stewart, Porterville, CA.; a sister-in-law, Mary Frances "Fran" Musick-Taft, Fontana, CA.; brother-in-law, Paul T. Collins, Azusa, CA.; nieces, Wendy J. Skeldon, Stephanie L. Rollins, Robin G. Hernandez, and Kristin Skinner; nephews, Randy S. and Glen J. Collins, a special cousin, Anna "Annie" Hubka and a great-nephew, Dillon R. Parsell-Lutes.

Ken was a U.S. Army Veteran. During his service he was a Radarman serving at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, and in Ascheberg, Germany, from January 1966 to December 1968.

During Ken's career in the Dairy Industry from 1969 until 2000, he worked for the Good Humor Breyers Ice Cream, Los Angeles, CA.; formerly, Krafts Foods and Knudsen, and later for Alta Dena, City of Industry, CA. He was in the Office Operations and a Dock Foreman in Warehousing and Distribution, specializing in Inventory Management.

Due to medical disabilities, Ken had to retire in 2000. He was an avid gardner, sharing his bounty with his friends and neighbors. Ken was known as a good man by all. The neighborhood children adored him. He will always be loved and missed by his loving family and friends.

Ken was a member of the Eleventh Street Baptist Church, in Upland, CA.

Visitation will be held at Oakdale Mortuary from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.; on October 07, 2011, followed by a graveside service. The Rev. Tony Calvary will officiate. Bagpipe music will be provided by Stanton.

Interment will be in the Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 South Grand Ave.; Glendora, CA., 91740.
