Abagail E. Haner
GALLIPOLIS - Abagail E. Haner, 62, of 269 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in Gallipolis Medical Center where she had been a patient for four weeks after suffering a heart attack.
She has been clerk at the welfare office in Gallipolis since 1946. Prior to that she was employed with the Ohio Fuel Gas Co. and the Gallia Times.
Born May 12, 1903 at Addison, she was the daughter of Mrs. Alta A. Switzer Reeves of Georgetown, Ohio, and the late William Reeves. She attended the Methodist Church.
She married John Haner, April 30, 1933. He survives along with a stepson, Clyde Lowell Haner and a stepdaughter, Nell Haner, both of Gallipolis; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Epple, Columbus, Mrs. Clarence (Ruth) Wagner, Georgetown; two brothers, Frank Reeves, Lucasville, and Max Reeves, Cincinnati; three step grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home by the Rev. Hughy Jones. Burial will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery at Cheshire.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
