Funeral services for Kenneth E. Baysinger Sr, 68, of Locust Grove, will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at the Exciting Southeast Baptist Church in Pryor. Pastor Rob Pierce will officiate with burial following at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Locust Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to the Exciting Southeast Baptist Church Building Fund.
Kenneth Edward Baysinger Sr. was born on June 14, 1943 in Marshall, Arkansas to Issac Andrew and Lillie (Patterson) Baysinger. He passed away on September 30 in Pryor.
Kenneth grew up and attended school in Marshall, Arkansas. He joined the U.S. Navy after school. He was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia on the USS Forrestal.
Kenneth married Marcia Kokoszka were married on May 22, 1963 in Marshall, Arkansas. They made their home in various places over the years including Nowata, Owasso, Verdigris then eventually they settled in Locust Grove where they have lived the last 12 years. He worked for American Airlines in Tulsa as an aircraft inspector, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed his retirement spent his days working his Hereford cattle and driving his tractor. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids and also enjoyed going to the Del Rancho Auction in Tahlequah every Saturday.
Kenneth was a devoted man of God and a faithful member of the Exciting Southeast Baptist Church in Pryor. He was a greeter there, and known as one of the most loving and friendly members there. Attending church was his most favorite pastime and he will be missed.
Survivors include his wife Marcia of the home; 3 children- Denise M. Baysinger of Tulsa, Karen Ann Colclazier and husband Joe of Pawnee, Kenneth E. Baysinger Jr. of Locust Grove; 6 Grandchildren- Tara Nicole, Sara Nicole, Corey Allen, Amanda Rose, Tiffany Ann and Matthew Issac; 1 Brother- Robert Baysinger and wife Nina of Harriett, Arkansas; 3 Sisters- Willodean Garrison and husband Jackie of Tulsa, Barbara Jo Still of Newport, Arkansas and Deann Gilpatrick and husband Gary of Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Imogene.
