Bill was the husband of Alice (nee Menow), and father of William Jr.(one day old son, deceased),he was survived by his wife and children, Daniel, Susan,& Sandra. Later grandchildren were born to Sandra, Todd William in 1987 and Allison Lorraine in 1994. Our father was truly a great man. He was one of eight children, and had close relationships with his family. A member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Berlin, New Jersey, where he rarely missed a Sunday, and rang the church bell, he also worked around the church, just to help out. He also had godchildren, which he treated with a lot of love and kindness. Daddy was a kind and loving man, loved his wife and children and loved Jesus. He married his best friend and soul mate our mother Alice E. Crowthers. (they share their resting place on earth as well) He worked as a rigger at George Young Co. in Philadelphia, Pa. Our father enjoyed working with his hands, he liked to build things and would help anyone who was trying to help themselves. Daddy was stricken with cancer in 1979 and endured many hard months of chemotherapy, but was called upon by our Lord on a day before his 56th birthday in April of 1981. Daddy is sadly missed by his family, and the world is definitly at a loss of a wonderful and kind gentleman. I feel very fortunate and blessed to have been chosen by such wonderful people as my parents. We are still trying to find the right words to decribe his life.....
