1st Wife of Rev John Gibbs, they married, possibly as early as 1833, as a Susannah Gibbs was dismissed from her church; Quote: "Formerly Murphy" (see below), their first known child was born 1841? Susan was the daughter of William Bird & Elizabeth [Duncan] Murphy, both of Union Co SC. Rev John Gibbs preached at the church she was dismissed from, among many other congregations in the area.
Rev John & Susie had 3 to 5 children:
Charlotte C Gibbs Gregory, Addie Gibbs Meador, and Medora Gibbs Williams.
