Edward Junior "Bud" Hawn 80, of Bartlesville passed away 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the Nowata Nursing Center.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Walker-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Dershem officiating. Final Committal rites will be accorded Mr. Hawn in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Nowata. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #105 ceremonial detail. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Edward was born on July 17,1928 in Caney, KS to James Edward and Mary Jane Brannon Hawn. Bud was a veteran of both the U.S. Army and Air Force. He was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church, Campers Wheels & Reels and enjoyed gardening.

"Bud" married Minnie Jane Southerland on November 9, 2002 in Bartlesville and is survived by his wife Minnie of the home, two sons; Edward L. Hawn and wife Connie of Nowata, Rick Hawn and wife Judy of Copan. Two daughters; Lucritia and husband Brian Gudenkauf of Claremore and Carol Cummings of Nowata. Eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one brother Leroy Hawn of Alaska; two sisters Maxine Collins and Dorothy Jean Smith of Ossian, IN. Four step daughters; Janet Tysor of Buda, TX, Karen DeVeaux of Cary, NC, Judy Perry of Bartlesville and Patty Tate of Broken Arrow. Eight step grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. "Bud" is preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years Betty Jean Adams Hawn along with his parents and five sisters.

Casket Bearers include: Chief Waltrip, Justin Waltrip, Bill Waltrip, Garret Hawn, Chris Hawn and Brandon Hawn. Honorary Casket Bearers include: Jared Hawn, Josh Hawn and Marshall Perry.
