Painful indeed, is the parting with loved ones. With sorrow we record the death of Mrs. Richard Coates. She was taken sick on Tuesday April the 7th and despite all that loving care and medical skill could do, died on Wednesday the 8th in the 64th year of her age.
Deceased was the mother of seven children, all of whom survive her. She was a noble self-sacrificing woman, a devout Christian and consistent member of the PM church; an estimable lady who possessed the love and esteem of all who knew her.
How dear, how holy are the words mother, friend, loving, kind, unselfish. Sadly, indeed do we miss thee. She has but crossed the dark valley to that better land where there is no death, no parting, no pain. Tired she sleepeth. The family have the sympathy of an entire community in this their sad hour of trial.
