William G. Parks, 76, of 103 4th Avenue, Altoona died at 11:30 a.m., Sunday, August 8, 1971, in Altoona Hospital, where he was admitted May 2, after a long illness.

He was born in Saltillo, July 4, 1895, a son of Nicholas and Rosella (Lock) Parks, married Veda Dell on April 25, 1921.

Surviving are his wife, five children, William Parks, Alfred D. Parks and Paul L. Parks of Altoona, Robert M. Parks of Buffalo, N.Y., and Lorena Parks at home; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister and a brother, Mrs. Amanda Dunn and Albert H. Parks of Altoona.

Mr. Parks was a member of the Altoona Second Avenue United Methodist Church. He retired as a machinist at the Juniata Scales in 1957.
