William Clare Parks, 78, of 5239 Kissell Ave., died at 12:05 a.m. today, Feb. 23, 1981, in Mercy Hospital, after a brief illness.
Mr. Parks retired as a pipefitter from Pennsylvania Railroad in August 1967, after 43 years' service. He was born Aug. 12, 1902, in Six Mile Run, Bedford County, the son of Kelly and Rose (Martin) Parks, and Sept. 24, 1925, in Cumberland, Md., married Verna B. Wonders.
Mr. Parks was a member of the Fifty-Eighth Street Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the William G. Bigelow Funeral Home.
