Mrs. Knab, 62, of 1405 2nd Ave. died at 11:01 p.m. Sunday May 1, 1988, at Altoona Hospital, following a brief illness. Mrs. Knab retired as office manager from the YMCA in 1996, after 15 years' service.
She was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Altoona, the daughter of Filomena Mollica, and Jan. 1, 1949, in Hollidaysburg, married John Knab Jr.
Surviving are her husband, three children; Kathryn Fogal of Nashua, N.H., Fred of Elliottsburg and Cynthia Hakanson of Virginia Beach, Va., and four grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother of Altoona and five brothers and sisters: Gerard of Pittsburgh, Rose Lack of Indiana, Pa.; Richard of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Amedey and Gloria Croft of Altoona.
Mrs Knab was a member of the Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Bavarian Aid Society.
Mrs. Knab was a 1943 graduate of Altoona High School. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Santella Funeral Home. Interment at Alto-Reste Park.
Surviving are four grandchildren: Ashley Knab, Gordon Fogal, Sarah Fogal and Thomas Fogal
