He was born Feb. 27, 1926, in Altoona, the son of John and Anna (Fastmaier) Knab. He was proceded in death by his mother. He married Dorothy Benson on Jan. 23, 1954, in Hollidaysburg.
Mr Knab attended West Loop Missionary Church.
He was self-employed as a lifelong dairy farmer at Frank Knab Farm.
Mr Knab was a member of the Pennsylvania Farmers Association and served as a committeeman for the Blair County Farmers Association.
Surviving are his wife, five sons: Tim, Frank Jr., Mark, David and Carl, all of Hollidaysburg; Elaine Lewis of Cresson, Ellen Morgret and Norma, both of Roaring Spring, and Lynn Hecker in Virginia; his father of Chimney Rocks; three sisters; Ann Helsel and Mary Zeak, both of Hollidaysburg, and Louise Sutch in Oregon; a brother John Jr. of Altoona; and 15 grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Plank, Stitt and Stevens Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.
