Thomas Russell Brown of 2623 Maple Ave., died at 10:05 am today, April 28, 1975 at Mercy Hospital, after an extended illness. Mr. Brown retired in 1965 from Altoona Matress Co. with 20 years service. He formerly had been employed by United Home Dressed Meats for 20 years. He was born Oct. 9, 1896 in Millerstown, a son of Thomas J. and Sara (Lesher) Brown, and married Julia Haverlock on Oct. 11, 1923 in Osceola Mills. Surviving are his wife, two children, Mrs. Louise Streett of Pittsburgh and Thomas H. of Steubenville, Ohio, and a grandson . Mr. Brown was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Altoona, He was an Army veteran of World War I as an anti-aircraft Machinegunner. Friends will be received in the Warren H. Replogie Funeral Home from 2 to 4 , and 7 to 9 pm tomorrow.
