Paddy Sisk BAILEY - Geraldine June Bailey, daughter of the late Ansie and Gerald Sisk of Ivanhoe, VA died December 12, 1997 after a valiant battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Captain William F. Bailey, U.S.N. Ret.; her son, William Bailey Jr., daughter in law, Marcie, of Jupiter, FL; daughter, Mrs. Lynn B. Schrock, of Goode, VA; two grandsons, William Bailey III, and Bryan Bailey, also of Jupiter, FL. She is also survived by her three sisters, Mrs. Alice Hadlock and Miss Barbara Sisk, of Lynchburg, VA and Mrs. Paddy Radcliffe of Pulaski, VA. A graduate of Lynchburg College (VA), she taught school for 38 years in Virginia and Florida, creatively supporting drama and music programs as well as serving as an English department head. She accomplished this while also supporting her husband's career as a Naval Officer. A talented musician, she taught hundreds of children to love music, and to play the piano. She was a devoted member of Ortega United Methodist Church where she sang in the chancel choir, and was a member of the Lydia Circle. She was also an active member of Venetia Manor Garden Club. She is irreplaceable, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The funeral will be at the Ortega United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM Wednesday December 17, 1997. Burial will be at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to Jeb Stuart Middle School, 4815 Wesconnett Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32210, music program, in care of Carol Daniel, Principal, or Ortega United Methodist Church, 4807 Roosevelt Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32210, choir.
