Elise Marie immigrated with her sister, Raghnild and five of Raghnild's children...arriving in Ellis Island on July 29, 1913 on the Ship Kristianiafjord from Kristiana (now Oslo). Aunt Marie and Casper Bondley were married in Glendive, Montana on March 13, 1920. First picture is of their wedding, second of their 50th anniversary.
From her obituary: Elise Marie Bondley was born on Feb 8, 1895 in Trysil, Norway to the late Engebret and Marthe (Pernup) Lund. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. She imigrated to the United States in 1913 and worked in the Fargo, Moorehead area until 1919 when she moved to Wibaux, Montana where she was married on March 13, 1920 to Casper Edwin Bondley in Glendive, Montana. The couple moved back to Wibaux in 1927 and lived there until 1938 when they moved to Plummer, Minnesota in the fall of that year. They moved to Thief River Falls in 1938 and farmed in Silverton Township. Casper passed away in April 1973. Marie moved to Harwood, North Dakota for a short time, then back to Valley Home in Thief River Fals before moving to the Riverview Nursing Home in October of 1988.
