Bertha Mae Lewis
MINDEN--Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Mae Lewis are scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the Evergreen Methodist Church. Rev. Paul Cassell will officiate and burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath.
Mrs. Lewis died Monday morning in Denison, Tex. at the age of 77.
She is survived by her husband, Nolan R. Lewis of Minden; a step-daughter, Eunice Boorman of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, Roy Oliver of Baytown, Tex. and Raymond Oliver of Pottsboro, Tex.; a sister, Myrtle Page of Hellina, Ark.; a brother, Tom White of Springhill; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Richard Oliver, Jackie Oliver, Tony Oliver, Billy Oliver, Robert Moore, and Raymond Dodge.
Mrs. Lewis was a native of Huntsville, Ala., a former resident of Minden and a member of Evergreen Methodist Church. She was also the retired matron of the New London High School in East, Tex.
