Mrs. Tilitha Hild, Age 63, Is Dead; Rites Wednesday Funeral services for Mrs. Tilitha B. Hild, 63, 902 St. Juliun street, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence and at 2:30 o'clock at the Calvary Baptist church. Mrs. Hild died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Methodist hospital in Peoria. Rev. F. B. Haynes will officiate at the services with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
The body was removed to the Preston and Jackson funeral home but will be taken to the residence today, where friends are invited to call. Mrs. Hild had been a patient at the hospital for past 10 days. Her death marked a four months illness of heart disease.
Born Near Here -- Mrs. Hild was a life long resident of Tazewell county and was born in Cincinnati township, August 27, 1874, the daughter of Bennett and May Siwall Bailey. In 1888 she was united in marriage to William J. Hild, local mail carrier. He died on August 17, 1935. Mrs. Hild was a member of Calvary Baptist church of Pekin and the Postal Carriers auxiliary. For the past 14 years, Mrs. Hild has resided in Pekin. She is survived by four sons, George, Alfred and Edgar, all of Pekin and Homer Hild, East Peoria, also two sisters, Mrs. Addie Lohnes and Mrs. Ada McElhoe, both of Pekin. She is also survived by seven
grandchildren. Five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
