Naomi was the daugter of Charles D Singleton and Rosa E Alexander Singleton. She married James E Cummings, and they were the parents of one son.

Naomi was killed due to a train accident, the train wheels ran over her while crawling under the train, she was on a break from work, she worked at the Henderson Produce Co. at Laclede, Mo.

She is survived by her husband, her parents, a sister Fae Bookspan of New York, New York; brother William Singleton, Marceline, Noal Singleton, San Pedro, California; nieces Maudeline Rauer, Gay Bookspan, Nina Lee and Carol Jean Singleton; and nephews Charles William Singleton.
