Douglas Eugene Baugh Sr. passed away in Belle Chasse, La., on Thursday,
March 15, at 1:25 p.m. at the age of 77 years. Douglas was born in
Madisonville on Dec. 2, 1934. At the time of his death, he was a resident of
Buras, La. He was the husband of the late Isabel Bergeron Baugh; father of
Douglas "Sonny" Baugh Jr. and Kenny Baugh; grandfather of Bryan and Kenneth
Baugh, son of the late C.E. and Ruby Williams Baugh; and brother of Vernon
Baugh and JoAnn Parker.

Doug graduated from Madisonville High School, and upon graduation attended
Victoria Junior College on a football scholarship. He entered the military
for two years and received an honorary position as Colonel's Orderly. He
began his career with Brown and Root in Gretna, La., and attended Tulane
University as a business major. Doug became part of Baugh Enterprises in
Groesbeck, retired from Texas Eastern, Inc., in Corpus Christi and settled
in Buras, La.

Interment was in Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery in Buras La., on March 19.
Arrangements were made by Clark-Ducote Funeral Home.
