Mr. William Bascumb Capers, a prominent planter living several miles from the city on the Milledgeville Road, died yesterday morning SEPT. 17, 1917 at the University Hospital.

William was 68 years of age, was a native of Charleston, SC. He had lived in Augusta the greater portion of his life. His Father was the late General F W Capers.
He is survived by two sisters; Miss Elizabeth Capers, and Mrs. L B Owens, and one daughter, Miss Carolyn Capers.

Funeral services were conducted at the Chapel at the City Cemetey. Rev. William Johnson officiating.
