Family talk says that Lyon died young. If he had died between 1827 and 1832, his name would have been etched on the tall, obelisk memorial to the family. The current theory is that Lyon died within his first ten years, thus being buried and memorialized before the rest of the family began dying. No stone or grave has been located; however, one was once recorded in this cemetery with his name and having no dates. This information came from Tibbetts and Lamson's book, Early Pleasant River Families of Washington County, Maine. 1997, p. 586
