Died at her home in Modale, Iowa, July 21, 1902, Mrs. Hugh Flynn, aged 48 years.
Mrs. Mary McDermit [sic] Flynn was born in Ireland in 1854, came to American in 1872, married Hugh Flynn in 1875, and to them nine children were born, seven of whom are still living. The family came to Modale in 1880, and this has been their home ever since. Soon after coming here she showed symptoms of consumption, from which she has since suffered with the patience of a saint, and from which she died.
Mrs. Flynn was a woman of most noble motherly impulses and will be greatly mourned by her children, to whom she was so fondly attached, as sincerely by her bereaved consort. She was a good woman, a good neighbor, a good mother in Israel.
The funeral services occurred from St. Patrick's church to Mt. Carmel, this city, Wednesday, July 23.
