Mrs. Finnell was a daughter of the late Spencer Long and Cornelia Gano Long, of Georgetown. For a number of years she had made her home in Lexington.
Surviving are a son, Spencer Finnell, four daughters, Mrs. Fay Ardery, Paris; Mrs. L. E. Young and Mrs. C. L. Cox, of Lexington, and Mrs. Luke Abbott, of Sherman, Texas; a sister, Mrs. H. C. Blackburn, of Georgetown, and a brother, Stephen G. Long, of Long Beach, California.
The remains were taken to Lexington and brief services were held at the home of her son, Spencer Finnell, after which the remains were buried in the family lot in Georgetown cemetery, services being held at the grave by Dr. T. C. Ecton, pastor of Calvary Baptist church, Lexington.
The pall-bearers were D. E. Fogle, Eugene Rucker, W. G. Abbott, James B. Finnell, Thomas B. Dewhurse, Nelson H. Smith, R. C. Ford and John A. Gano.
The remains were accompanied here by Mr. and Mrs. Abbott and little son, Spencer."
