Henry "Jook" Boyd Sr., 76, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 9, 2010, at Baptist Hospital-North in Oxford.
He was a member of the male chorus, a member of the church choir, a church steward, a church trustee, a Sunday school treasurer, and a retired farmer.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 14 at Adolphus Chapel CME Church, where he was a member.
Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Charles Dooley officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Lizzie Richmond Boyd; seven daughters, a son, Henry Boyd Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.; eight sisters, nine brothers
He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Jones; and a brother, James E. Boyd.
