The Chronicle-Journal World Tuesday, January 27, 1998 pg. B11 Obituary: Florence May Stephens, beloved wife of the late James Stephens, passed away in hospital January 24, 1998. Florence was a resident of Pioneer Ridge and Formerly of Amelia Street. Florence was born August 18, 1911 to Hormidas and Sarah Bilodeau in Keewatin, Ontario and was the second youngest of twelve children. She moved to the Lyleton District, Manitoba as a young woman and later married Jim Stephens. They lived in Lyleton District until retirement in 1970 and moved to Thunder Bay. She is survived by her children Norma (George) Murray and Dorothy Linklater both of Thunder Bay, Allen (Margaret) Stephens of Langley, B.C., Irene Sorgenfrie of Winnipeg, M.B. and Betty (Martin) Gillis of Sydney, N.S. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will take place Tuesday evening (tonight) from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the Jenkens Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 1998 in the chapel of the Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Wilson officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. If so desired, memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Pioneer Ridge Home For the Aged, 750 Tungsten Street.
