Budd Lenington Small, extensive land owner and live stock breeder, son of former Governor Len Small, died in his home in Kankakee. He had been ill for several weeks.
Small owned about a 1,000 acres of Kankakee County farmland and took an active interest in breeding fine live stock. He was vice president of the First Trust and Savings Bank of Kankakee of which his father had been president.
Actively interested in the Republican Party in his father's lifetime and since, he was the party's committeeman in the West Kankakee precinct.
