Nokie I. Johnson, 93, of Sallisaw, Okla., passed away September 25, 2011, at home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Charter Funerals, 5000 Blue Ridge Cutoff, with burial in Mt. Mrs. Johnson was raised in Vian, Oklahoma, by her parents Ernest and Rosie Wood. After marriage to Charles Johnson of Vian, in 1935, they moved to Kansas City Mo where they made their home raising 3 children Daniel, Donna, and Mike. She was a factory worker for Chase Bag for over 30 years, and retired from Fixtures Manufacturing in 1983. She was a member of Kensington Avenue Baptist Church until it closed and Greendale Baptist Church. She returned to Sallisaw Oklahoma in 2009 to live with her son Michael Johnson

She has been preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: William, Haskell, and Otto, her sisters: Elma Qualls, Wanda Louise Hoffman, her son Daniel E. Johnson, her granddaughter Rebecca Johnson, and her grandson Jamie Cabrera.

She leaves her daughter in law Patricia Johnson of Blue Springs Missouri, daughter Donna Speak and husband Dwayne of Kansas City MO, her son Michael Johnson and wife Vicky of Sallisaw Ok, and sister Golda Robbins and husband Hayes of Yukon Ok. She had 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and several great - great grandchildren.
