She was born on July 6, 1908, in Osceola County, Iowa, to Ananias and Mary Ann (Stauffer) Bauman.
She married John Zimmerman on Aug 14, 1930, in Nappanee. He died on Dec 7, 1966.
Mrs. Zimmerman is survived by six sons, Kenneth (Lydia) and Roy (Anna Mary) Zimmerman, both of Goshen, Norman (Emma) Zimmerman of Middlebury, Merle (Verna) Zimmerman of Elkhart, Melvin (Bertha) Zimmerman of Decker, Mich, and Authur (Lois) Zimmerman of Nappanee; three daughters, Mrs Perry (Mary Ann) VanPelt of West Salem, Ohio, and Mrs Edith Martin and Mrs Robert (Erma) Ramer, both of Goshen; a sister, Mrs Anna Martin of Wakarusa; 50 grandchildren; 172 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother Eva Bauman; two brothers, Noah and Amos Bauman; two sisters, Susie Bauman and Lydia Martin; a son-in-law; a daughter-in-law; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Zimmerman, a homemaker, was a member of Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm today and 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home in Wakarusa.
