South Bend Tribune, South Bend, Ind., Sun., Feb. 25, 1945, n.p.:
"Joseph Kopscay
Joseph Kopcsay, aged 91, a carriage builder and designer who worked for the Studebaker Corporation 45 years before retiring 20 years ago, died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday in Epworth hospital where he had been a patient nine months. Mr. Kopcsay, who lived with his son-in-law, Alexander G. Ironside, 1617 West Hamilton Street, was born in Tolvesa, Hungary, March 9, 1853,and migrated to the United States in 1874, settling in South Bend. He was married to Leah Witwer in 1888. She died in 1929. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday in the Russell chapel where funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Frank Davison of First Christian church, at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery."
