Charles Roy Amos died Wednesday morning at the residence of his son Charles E. Amos.

Mr. Amos was born in Wirt County, a son of the late James E. and Minnie Belle Amos. He was retired from American viscose Corp., was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Barracks No. 454, World War I Veterans.

Surviving is his wife Nettie Hartleben Amos of Ocean Springs, Miss.; a daughter, Audrea D. Dowler of Parkersburg; the son with whom he resided; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Knotts, of Elizabeth, Mrs. Lena Heatherty, Mrs. Thelma Ward and Mrs. Evelyn Starcher, all of Parkersburg; one brother, Kendall Amos of Elizabeth; one step-daughter and two step-sons.

Services will be held Friday at the Leavitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Tucker officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens.
