Laurence R. Ford, of Camden-Wyoming, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, at Milford Center. He was 74.

Laurence was born in Willow Grove, the son of the late Clifford and Mary (Kimball) Ford.

He worked for Delaware D.O.T. in the sign division and also owned a school bus (L&T Bus Co.), he drove for the Dover School Dis­trict for several years.

He listened to Country music and enjoyed going to dinner with his special friend, Bessie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Butler Ford in 2000; and a brother, Leslie Ford; and his dog, Dusty (his partner in crime).

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Clifford H. Ford of Alabama, Franklin L. Ford of Wyoming, Richard W. Ford of Clayton, Betty Fuhr, and Gloria J. Moor, both of Wyoming; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, in the chapel of Berry-Short Fu­neral Home, Main St., Felton, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown.
