Rock Musician. He was the lead guitarist of the musical group, 'Iron Butterfly.' The band formed in 1966 in San Diego, California, and also included members, Ron Bushy, Darryl DeLoach, Lee Dorman, Doug Ingle, Philip Taylor Kramer, Jerry Penrod, and Danny Weis. After moving to Los Angeles, California, the band began to play the club scene and later got touring gigs with the likes of The Doors and Jefferson Airplane. In the 1960s they began to record with such music labels as Rhino and Atlantic. In 1968 they released there debut album, "Heavy" and in 1969 they released, "Pets." At about this time they also released the 17-minute hit, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" which went onto sell 4 million copies and spent over a year on the Top Ten charts. They also released a shorter version of the song and it reached number 30 on the singles chart. In 1971, after many replacements of band members and the lack of interest, the band parted ways. In 1995 Philip Taylor Kramer disappeared while driving on a road, his body was found in 1999 at the bottom of ravine in his vehicle. Also that same year Darryl DeLoach died. The band's other recordings include "Most Anything You Want," "Flowers And Beads," "My Mirage," among many others.
