Mary Louise Pyke, 72, Kokomo, passed away at 8:20 a.m., Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, in Howard Regional Health System, Kokomo. Born July 25, 1939, in Kokomo, she is the daughter of the late Howard West and Dorothy (Dowden) West. On Feb. 15, 1957, in Kokomo, she married George William Pyke, and he survives.

She was employed with Milbank Manufacturing for 27 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of the West Middleton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, George William Pyke, Kokomo; three sons, Kevin (wife-chris) Pyke, Bunker Hill, Jeff (wife-becky) Pyke, Columbus, Ga., and Larry ( wife-Patricia) Pyke, Kokomo; one daughter, Teresa (James) Driver, Flora; four sisters, Debbie (Albert) Becker, Cindy (Jim) Clem, Lila Ennis, and Susan (Martin) Russell; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and two brothers.

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. Pastor Paul Sutherland will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p. m. Monday at the mortuary.
