Lonnie Williams Sr. ,91, of Lake Jackson, formerly of Magnolia, Texas.
(Please Note: there are Two Magnolia's in two Different Countys in
TEXAS.) He honorably served his country in the Army during World. War I I. Lonnie 's duties carried him into the Company of E 41 st Engineer s through October 31, 1945. He served in the capacity as Truck Driver 345 and a Rifle Marksman. He fought during the battles of Normandy, in Northern France,
Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. His medals and citations received upon honorable discharge were the American Theater Campaign
Medal, EAME Campaign Medal with five Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, one Service Stripe and three Overseas Service Bars. Survivors include
his children, Lonnie Van Williams, Jr. , of London, England; Phillip Williams (Debra); Lonnie. Williams Jr., (Jean); Myrtle Williams McZeal (Michael); Shirley Williams; Fannie Williams; Linda Williams Hagger; Lucile Williams King ,(Gilbert); Aserline Williams Pleasant (Hershel) ; twenty three grandchildren;
ten great - grandchildren; many other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Williams Sr. and Louise Williams; second wife, Gertrude Williams; first wife, Mabel Helms; sisters, Vinora Jeffery; Aserline Alexander; brothers, Alfonse Williams; Phillip "Bubba Williams Jr.; Abel "Poustie" Williams; J. C. Williams; one grandchild, Shakerra Nicole Williams, Findagrave at the same cemetery.
