HILLIARD -- James L., 69, born February 27, 1934 at Turkey Ford, Ottawa Co. near Grove, OK, the son of Jim and Freda (Landers) Hilliard. He died in Broken Arrow on Wednesday, November 5, 2003. James was a 1952 graduate of Grove High School. He attended Draughn's School of Business. He married the former Miss Hazel Morgan on May 21, 1955 at Gentry, AR. They moved to Tulsa from Grove in 1955. James was the owner of Tulsa Camera Record Company. He sold the business and retired in 1986. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and enjoyed woodwork and traveling. He attended Good Sam RV Church and Home Gardens Assembly of God Church in West Tulsa prior to attending Woodlake Assembly of God. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. He is survived by wife, Hazel Hilliard, Broken Arrow, OK; son, Randy and wife, Denise Hilliard, Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren, Ryan and Faith; sisters, Jadine Alberta, Grass Valley, OR, Joyce Rosser, Newport News, VA, Carol Pritchard, Grove, OK; brother, Ray Hilliard, Claremore, OK. He was preceded in death by son, Larry in 1973. Visitation is at Hayhurst Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Service is set for 10 a.m., Friday, November 7, 2003 at Woodlake Assembly of God in Tulsa.
