James "Jimmy" Caudill (82) of Dennis "Zena",Oklahoma went to be with his Lord on Friday, September 23, 2011. James was born in Grove, Oklahoma on July 15, 1930 to Nellie Lucinda Starr(1903-1936) of Grove Oklahoma and Sam John Caudill(1893-1948) of Kentucky. He had two brothers, Johnny and JD and a sister Anna Mae. Jim and his siblings were raised by Bill and Rose Ann Morris after his mother died when he was six. He attended school at the Oak Grove school house. At 16 years of age he went to work as a farm hand on large ranches in Southeast Colorado. While there he met Dora Jean Karn of the Rocking 7K Ranch. At age 18(1949) Jim enlisted into the Army with his brother JD and his friend Tedd Qualls. He fought in the Korean War as a tank driver. He earned the rank of sergeant and earned the Korean service medal, the good conduct medal and three(3) Bronze stars, which were awarded for being in three major battles during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1952.
He married his sweetheart Dora Jean on December 28, 1951 in Olympia, Washington. They lived and worked in Colorado on the Rocking 7K Ranch and in Johnson City, Kansas. James ranched and farmed and Dora taught school. In 1964, James and Dora purchased 140 acres at Dennis, Oklahoma. It was always said that James the unofficial mayor of Dennis. Here he ranched and ran a dairy for many years.
James was a dedicated family man. He enjoyed many great times with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He especially enjoyed spending time with all of them on his and Dora's farm at Dennis, Oklahoma. He enjoyed the many horses and cattle that they raised. He was the happiest when he was on his farm. He has attended several regional churches. He loved to sing songs of praise.

It was Jim and Dora's desire that all of their friends and family make it to heaven with them.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Monday September 26, 2011 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Interment will follow at Butler Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Fort Sill Military Honors Team.
