Roverta was born close to Smithville, Itawamba Co., Mississippi, to Margrett and Oakley Henderson. She came to Texas in a covered wagon with her older sister Mary Christiny (Henderson) White and Mary's husband, James Ransom White in November and December of 1869.
Roverta's sister Mary died nine days after her 4th child was born on 14 Apr.1870. Roverta married her sister's husband James Ransom White the 5 Sept. 1871.
Roverta had seven children and lived in Rogers, Bell Co., Lott, Fall Co., Heidenheimer, Madisonville, Madison Co., and Mart, McLennan Co., Texas.
Roverta died in Stanton, Martin Co., Texas, at the home of her youngest daughter Burnice Reed; but her body was shipped to Mart, McLennan Co. by train. She was buried along side of her husband James Ransom White on 17 Jul 1933.
