Anne Meriwether was the seventh child and fourth daughter of Thomas Meriwether and Elizabeth Thornton. She married Richard Anderson (1747–1793) on 1 May 1770 in Louisa County, Virginia. She and Richard were the parents of ten children: Elizabeth, Sarah, Jasper, Nicholas Meriwether, David Meriwether, Francis, infant, infant, Cecelia and Ann Meriwether Anderson.
As recorded in The Douglas Register, Anne gave birth to her last child on 3 Aug 1782 and died two days later.
