Geo. D. Brainard, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Brainard, died Thursday night at the home of his parents at this place. He was taken sick while building the new Diamond Creamery Company creamery at Nashville, Jackson county, and although a man of considerable physical strength his case baffled medical skill. Mr. Brainard was 28 years old and leaves a wife and two children. He was an industrious citizen and will be missed by a large circle of friends and relatives. The funeral took place at 10:30 a. m. Saturday at the home where he died, the Rev. W. B. Davis conducting the service, assisted by Revs. Ashael Bronson and G. R. Carroll.
