OBITUARY FOR GERTRUDE PLATT - Mrs Ralph Schwindt of Lafayette with her husband have gone to attend the funeral at Vista, California, of her mother, Mrs Gertrude Platt, 86, who died Monday in a hospital at Oceanside, California, after a lingering illness. Mrs Platt was born at Stockwell and was married to Moses B Platt, Lafayette butcher. He retired about 20 years ago and they moved to California, where he died in 1952. Mrs Platt was a member of Stockwell Methodist Church. Surviving with Mrs Schwindt are two other daughters, Mrs Earl Warren of Desert Hot Springs, California, and Mrs James McMains of Redding, California, and a son, Foster L of Quincy, Illinois.
