Ruth was born in Douds, Iowa to Earl L. and Bessie M. Beghtol Trout. She was united in marriade to Vernon E. Snowbarger in Raton, New Mexico on April 29, 1957. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1990.
Also proceeding her in death was her parents, a brother and sister.
Surviving are three sons; Charles W. Denham, Larry L. Denham of Ottumwa, Iowa and James Edward Snowbarger of Kirksville; Five daughters, Dixie A. Petary of Ottumwa, Nancy K. Rosa of St. Louis, Janet Sue Hurling of Moline, Illinois, Jean Ann Nelson of Alton, Illinois, and Teresa Brown of Bloomfield, Iowa: two brothers, Robert M. Trout, Iowa, and richard W. Trout of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
