Deceased Name: ALFRED J. GOETTEL

Alfred "Al" J. Goettel, 77, of Old Liverpool Road, died Sunday at home.

Mr. Goettel, formerly of North Syracuse , was a life resident of the Syracuse area. He was employed as an automobile salesman with Bresee Chevrolet for 36 years and was a former sales manager.

Mr. Goettel was a communicant of Assumption Church and member of the St. Joseph the Worker Society. He was an usher and member of the Catholic Golden Agers, the Pastime Athletic Club and the Syracuse Turners.

Mr. Goettel was an Air Force veteran of World War II.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth A. Goettel of Sacramento, Calif.; three daughters, Kathryn B. Goettel of Ashland, Mass., Mary Pickhaver of Houston, and Nancy Yeamans of Overland Park, Kans.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Keegan-Osbelt-Knight Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at Assumption Church. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 900 N. Salina St.

Contributions may be made to Assumption Church Renovation Fund.
