Born Christmas Day 1864, at Weston, Carleton County, New Brunswick Canada. Son of James Davis and Barbara Reid Davis. Entered Maine as a permanent resident in 1900. Worked as a laborer until his retirement. Predeceased by his wife Salome Elizabeth Piper Davis in 1936, and daughters Mable, Mary(as a 10 month old in 1901 - no further record found) and Barbara (as an 11 year old in 1911 (no further records found)(Possibly twins). Survived by sons John, Robert, Thomas, Charles, Malcolm, and daughter Freda Hayden. Also surviving a multitude of grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
