Clement J. DaVinci, Sr. age 71, of Wilmington, died in Millville, NJ at the Genesis Care Center.
Mr. DaVinci was a teacher for 26 years at A.I. DuPont Middle School until his retirement in 1984. He enjoyed writing, traveling and camping and served in the US Navy. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Marie Perry DaVinci; a son, Clement J. DaVinci, Jr. and his wife Vera of Philadelphia; a daughter, Lynann Phifer and her husband Walter of Millville, NJ; his mother, Antoinetta DaVinci of Cape May, NJ; a brother Anthony DaVinci and his wife Rosalie of Wilmington; 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2505 Centerville Road, Wilmington where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association-Delaware Chapter, 2306 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805 or the American Heart Association, 1096 Old Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19713.
