Lawrence P. Maggio, 92, died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, July 12, in River Bluff Nursing Home, Rockford. Born March 16, 1905, in Chicago, son of Samuel and Angela Maggio. Married Katherine Cassioppi in Rockford on July 20, 1930. Formerly employed by Larson Bros. Sand & Gravel Co. and Barber-Colman Co. Member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Survivors include sons, Samuel (Jean) Maggio of Rockford and Jerry (Sherrie) Maggio of Tulsa, Okla.; daughters, Angie (John) Perkey of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Marian (Cal) DeWeerdt of Rockford; 10 grandchildren, Greg (Sue) Perkey of Minneapolis, Minn., Gary (Lisa) Perkey and Mike (Laura) Perkey of Colorado Springs, Jody (Juan) Licon and Jeff DeWeerdt of Rockford, Dan DeWeerdt and Amy DeWeerdt of Milwaukee, Sam Maggio of Monticello, Ill., and Lynn Maggio and Adam Maggio of Tulsa; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
