Source - Clark County Courier/dated 5 Apr 1932. Theresa Ann Wilson, Ellison, McDonnell daughter of Isaac and Martha Newland Wilson, was born Oct 30, 1848 in LaGrange, Lewis county, Missouri. She was married to William J. Ellison, April 5, 1870. To this union were born ten children, Samuel of St. Patrick, George of Canton, Martin and Fran of Gregory, Leroy of Keokuk, Iowa, Ida May of Tulsa Oklahoma and Grace Breen of Columbine Wyoming. Her husband passed away in 1907 and three children, Eugene, Martha and Clev several years earlier. She was again married to Mike McDonnell in November, 1914. He passed away in September 1924. She was a member of the M.E. South at Winchester, Missouri for many years, then moving her membership to the Boston Avenue church in Tulsa Oklahoma. Her funeral was preached by Rev. C.J.Chappell to a large crowd of relative and friends. Besides her children, she leaves to mourn their loss, 27 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Reese of Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin and Mrs. Mary C. Gaines of Wayland, Missouri and a host of nephews and nieces. The pallbearers were grandsons, Emmett, Waldo, Paul and George A. Ellison, Basil Fryer and Nicholas Kirchner.
