Mrs Leah Weaver, 80, wife of Rev Christian Weaver of this place, died Monday morning of tuberculosis.

Mrs Weaver was born Nov 6, 1852 in Ohio.

She was a member of the Old Order Mennonite church.

Her husband and the following step-children survive: Menno, John and Eli Weaver of near Wakarusa, Christ Weaver of Nappanee, and Emma Brubaker of Ohio.

She also leaves two nieces, Mrs Joe Martin, two and a half miles east of Wakarusa, and Mrs Henry Weaver of near South West, and a nephew, Ephriam Markley, six miles northeast of Wakarusa.

The funeral was held at 9 am Wednesday at the home, with a further service at the Yellow Creek church, in charge of the Rev John Martin and the Rev. Henry Schrock. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
