Mrs. J. G. Osmundson.
Once more the grim harvester has visited our community and taken a kind wife and mother and a dear friend, in the death of Mrs. J. G. Osmundson, which occurred Wednesday, Aug. 28, after a serious illness of almost a year. Altho at times she suffered greatly, she bore her sufferings patiently, and without complaint. She will be sadly missed by all. Adelia Barte was born Feb. 17, 1877, in Hastings, and came with her parents to Nerstrand, at the age of two years. On March 25, 1896, she was united in marriage to John G. Osmundson.

Six children were born to bless this union, one, a girl, Lillian, died in infancy. The surviving children are: Mildred, Gertrude, Russell, Hazel and Sharpe. Mrs. Osmundson is also survived by her hushand and three stepchildren, Mrs F. R. Hopkins of Glendive, Mont., Albert Osmundson of Paxton, Mont., Orville Osmundson of Paxton, Mont., also her mother and step father, Mr. and Mrs. (H. A. Eckert, two sisters, Mrs. Rev. Knuth of Mayer, Mrs. Alma Lechett of Valley City, N. D., two half-sisters and one half-brother, Mrs. Elmer Simes of Worthington, Mrs. Frank Bullis of Billings, Mont., and Jessie Eckert of Nerstrand. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock, at the Lutheran church, Rev. B. A. Johnson officiating. Interment was made in the village cemetery. Those who attended the funeral from away were: Mrs. Alma Lechelt of Valley City, N. D., Mrs. Elmer Simes of Worthington, Rev. and Mrs. Knuth of Mayer, Miss Monica Knuth of Hammond, Dorothy Offerman of Minneapolis, Private Lawrence Koester of Camp Dodge, la., Mrs. Martha Njos of Dennison, Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson of Dennison, Miss Sadie Elthon of Dennison, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eckert and William Eckert of LeSueur.
