Helen M. Berberick, 80, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Kansas City Hospice House. She was born November 20, 1927 in Topeka the daughter of Charles and Mary (Schoenfeld) Navarre. Helen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, member of the Altar Society at church where she was an active participant for church functions, and Little Flower Circle #503 of the Daughters of Isabella. Helen enjoyed bowling with the Santa Fe Retirees Bowling League. She was a librarian at Sacred Heart School for many years. She was married to William G. Berberick on September 16, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Topeka. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2007. Survivors include two daughters, Theresa Tripp and her husband Todd of Overland Park and Michelle Mitch White and her husband Kevin of Lees Summit, MO. Three grandchildren, Laura Tripp, Brian Tripp and Abby White also survive. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Helen will lie in state after 4:00 p.m. at the church where the following rosaries will be prayed, Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle #503 at 5:00 p.m., Altar Society at 5:30 p.m. and the parish at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church and sent in care of the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka 66603.
