Charlie Baldridge, 90, of Triangle Tower Road, Clearfield, died Thursday, Jan. 13 at the Edgewood Estates Nursing Home at Frenchburg.

He was born March 14, 1909 at Rowan County to the late Alex and Amanda Riddle Baldridge.

A member of the Slab Camp Christian Church for over 60 years, he was also a retired farmer, carpenter and logger.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Corda Bowman Baldridge, who died Nov. 28, 1997, one daughter, Christine Baldridge, who died on July 17, 1936, four brothers, Ezra, Harley, Estill and Oscar Baldridge and one sister, Mildred Hargis.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Cecil and Donna Baldridge of Clearfield, two sisters, Olive Jones of Fairborn, Ohio and Leona Lambert of Morehead, two grandsons, David Baldridge and Lanny Ray Baldridge, both of Clearfield, and one great-granddaughter, Christina Baldridge.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Jan. 17 at the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Carlos Bowman and Rev. Charles Moore officiating, burial in the Baldridge Cemetery on Morgan Fork. Special music was provided by the Slab Camp Christian Church singers.

Pallbearers were Gary Jones, Wendall "Whitey" Baldridge, Eugene Hamm, Chalmer Baldridge, Clifton Baldridge and Lanny Faulkner.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Slab Camp Christian Church building fund.
